1st place in Boys-Girls, Boys, Girls, 3 trophies and 36 medals for the DSWA in the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece”!

The Deree Swim Academy successfully participated with 43 athletes in the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece for Boys – Girls, Teens – Juniors”, held on February 16-18 at OAKA.

The Deree College Athletic Club won the championship in the Boys – Girls, Boys, Girls categories, 3 new trophies, and 36 medals in total!

Worth mentioning were the placings in the finals with 32 different athletes, the personal records, and the 1,225 points (993 Boys-Girls+232 Teenagers-Teens) that the DCAC collected in total.

2 trophies and 19 medals for the Deree Swim Academy at the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece Boys-Girls A’ & B'”!

The Deree Swim Academy participated with 30 athletes in its first target competition of the season, held at OAKA, February 9-11, and secured the first position in the Girls B’ category and in the overall standings of Boys-Girls A’ & B’, winning a total of 2 trophies and 19 medals (6 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze).

Finally, it’s worth mentioning the numerous placements in the top 8 and top 16 of the events, the countless individual records, and the 1015 points we gathered.

10 medals for the DSWA in the “2nd Winter Swimming Competition for Pre-Competition Categories, in a 50m swimming pool”!

The Deree Swim Academy participated successfully with 25 athletes and won 10 medals in the “2nd Winter Swimming Competition for Pre-Competition Categories, in a 50m swimming pool”, held on February 3-4 at OAKA.

Great success for the DCAC 2024 pita cutting with guest of honor Otto Rehhagel!

The huge turnout of more than 1,800 young athletes and their families for the 2024 Deree College Athletic Club Pita Cutting Ceremony, made the January 27th event honored by the presence of President David G. Horner and the Higher Administration of The American College of Greece, a big success!

Athletes from all our Sports Academies were rewarded for their participation and accomplishments during the previous year, and special tribute was given to our Guest of Honor, legendary soccer coach Otto Rehhagel for his tremendous contribution and dedication to sports, who in turn made a short speech offering valuable advice to our young athletes.

Otto Rehhagel traveled from Germany in order to be present in our event, on the 20-year anniversary of the unprecedented success of winning the Euro 2004 with the National soccer team in Portugal!

Ioannis Topalidis – who traveled from Thessaloniki, and Takis Fyssas – member of the 2004 European champion team, were also honored.

Exclusive prizes, sponsored by “iStorm” Apple Premium Partner and “Kotsovolos” – Dixons South East Europe, were awarded to the lucky young athletes, winners of the raffle, who eagerly received their prizes!

At the end of the event, everyone had the opportunity to get better acquainted with all the members of the D.C.A.C. family, and take pictures with Otto Rehhagel!

A big thank you to Otto Rehhagel for the great honor, and to Ioannis Topalidis and Takis Fyssas for their help and presence!

45 medals for the Deree Swim Academy at the Swim Event “Okeanos” at OAKA!

The Deree Swim Academy made a distinguished contribution to the Swim Event “Okeanos,” held at the Olympic Indoor Aquatic Center (OAKA) on January 12-14, and presented a contingent comprising 20 pre-competitive athletes and 65 competitive athletes.

Throughout the event, the athletes exhibited notable advancements in their individual performances, achieving numerous personal records and garnering commendable distinctions. Congratulations to the pre-competitive team, which secured 14 medals, and the competitive team, which achieved a noteworthy total of 31 medals!

The delegations were under the guidance of esteemed coaches, including Antoniou Antonis, Demetis Vasilis, Syrbopoulos Giannis, and Sofia Samartzi.

Sincere and profound congratulations are extended to all the participants for their outstanding accomplishments, reflecting the highest standards of sportsmanship and dedication.

On the twenty-year anniversary of the unprecedented success of winning the Euro 2004with the National soccer team in Portugal, Otto Rehhagel gladly accepted the invitation to travel from Germany and attend our event in order to be honored for his life contribution to sports, soccer and the country!

You are kindly invited to celebrate the successes of our young athletes with a renown sports personality, on a historical anniversary!

Successful participation and advancement to the next round of the EPSA championships for the U11 & U15 soccer teams!

Congratulations to the Deree Soccer Academy U11 & 15 teams for their successful participation in the EPSA championships, and advancement to the next round!

The Deree Soccer Academy U11-1 completed phase A of EPSA championships successfully missing the highest division for only one point.

Our young athletes displayed strong character and resilience and brought a tie (3-3) against Apollon Chalandriou on the last game-day final. They move on to the second phase of the championships scheduled for January. Team U15 qualified among the 32 best teams from Athens, in EPSA’s highest division.

Our team displayed competitiveness, effective management and good football in all games.

Warm congratulations to Konstantinos Siokos – our U15 team coach, and Panagiotis Kagkarakis – Deree Soccer Academy head coach and U11-1 coach for great work!

National record, a gold medal, and distinctions for the Deree Swim Academy at Men’s – Women’s Winter Championship (Open) at OAKA!

The Deree Swim Academy participated with twenty-two athletes at the Men’s – Women’s Winter Championship (Open) at OAKA on Dec. 15-17.

We congratulate Marios Vlachakis on his national record, breaking his own at 200m. butterfly style, with an impressive 2:11:12, and Ioanna Pazaiti who won a gold medal at 200m. backstroke.

Even if our team was comprised of younger-age athletes, many achieved distinctions and qualifications in semi-finals or finals.
