The Deree Swim academy will be participating in the “Acropolis Swim Open 2022”!

Olympic caliber swimmers – such as Katinka Chozou, one of the top-5 swimmers worldwide – world record owners, and European champions will be participating in the international swim meet “Acropolis Swim Open 2022” that will be held on May 13-15 at Athens Olympic Sports Center (OAKA).

Twenty two of our swimmers will be also participating in this very demanding and prestigious event, gaining valuable experience competing against top level athletes!

The Deree Swim Academy participates at the “19th Venizelia”, and the “14th Poseidonia” swim competitions!

Today, 20 athletes of the Deree Swim Academy are off to Chania, to participate at the “19th Venizelia” that will be held April 29-May 1.

Most of the top Greek swimmers will be also participating, since this is a significant event in order to qualify to the major summer competitions.

Tomorrow, 42 of our swimmers aged 11-14 will depart for Ioannina in order to participate at the “14th Poseidonia” that will be held April 29-30.

Success for the Deree Swim Academy in the “Multination Swimming Meets” with the Greek National team!

In the “Multination Youth Swimming Meet”, held on April 9-10 in Limassol, Cyprus, our swimmers won 5 medals after great performances!

Antonia Rakopoulou, had her first experience in international competition with the Greek National swim team, in which she won the silver medal in the 800m freestyle, the bronze medal in 400m freestyle, and – with Anastasia Boutou – the gold medal in the 4×200 freestyle relay! Anastasia, also won the silver medal in the 4×100 Freestyle relay, and the 4th place in 100m butterfly.

In the “Multination Junior Swimming Meet” in Kranj, Slovenia, Dimitris Tsaliagkos successfully participated in the 50m, 100m, 200m breaststroke, and in the 4×100 medley, in his preparation for the European Junior Swim Competitions.

Three Deree Swim Academy swimmers called up to the National swimming teams for the upcoming multinational competitions!

The Greek swimming federation announced today the National swimming teams for the multinational competitions that will be held on April 9-10 in Kranj, Slovenia and Limassol, Cyprus.

It is a great honor and pleasure for the Deree College Athletic Club, that 3 athletes of the Deree Swim Academy will be participating in the national swimming teams!

Dimitris Tsaliagkos will participate in the multinational competitions for Boys U17/18 in Kranj, Slovenia, and Anastasia Boutou with Antonia Rakopoulou in Girls U14/15 in Limassol, Cyprus.

National Winter Swim Championship Open 2022 – Very successful participation!

The Deree Swim Academy had an amazing performance at the ” National Winter Swim Championship – Open 2022”, held on February 25-27 at the Athens Olympic Swimming Pool!

Our team won 11 medals in total (6 gold – 2 silver – 3 bronze), participated in 24 finals, and is one of the top swim teams in Greece in the Men’s and Women’s categories!

Specifically, our swimmers won:

Antonia Rakopoulou

  • 1st place in the 800m & 1500m women’s freestyle, and 3rd place in the 400m women’s freestyle.

Xanthi Mitsakou

  • 1st place in the 200m & 400m men’s freestyle.

Dimitris Tsaliagos

  • 2nd place in the 200m men’s breaststroke, and 3rd place in the 100m men’s breaststroke.

Anastasia Pepe

  • 2nd place in the 200m women’s backstroke.

Chryssa Mitsakou

  • 3rd place in the 200m women’s freestyle.

Our team also won the 1st place in the 4×200 women’s freestyle with Xanthi Mitsakou, Zoe Mitsakou, Chryssa Mitsakou and Anastasia Boutou, and the 3rd place in the 4×100 women’s freestyle with Xanthi Mitsakou, Zoe Mitsakou, Chryssa Mitsakou and Irida Kalampaliki.

Special mention should be also made to Antonia Rakopoulou, who broke the National record in 2 categories (Girls U15/16 and Girls U14) in the 1500m freestyle.

The Deree Swim Academy will be participating in the 2022 Open National Winter Championship.

On February 25-27 the Deree Swim Academy will be participating with 22 athletes in the “2022 Open National Winter Championship”, that will be held at the Athens Olympic Swimming Pool (OAKA).

This championship is a qualification criterion for the major international swim competitions that will follow, and our athletes will have the opportunity to compete against the top swimmers in Greece.

1st place in the U13-U14 Winter 2022 S.Greece swim championship!

Our swim team had an amazing performance in the U13-U14 Winter 2022 S.Greece swim championship, in which won the following distinctions:

  • 1st place in U13-U14 boys & girls total ranking
  • 1st place in U14 girls ranking
  • 1st place in U13 girls ranking
  • 1st place in U14 boys ranking

3 Pan-Hellenic records and 7 medals for the Deree Swim Academy at the “28th International Swim Meet- Alexandria”!

Excellent performances and results by our swimmers at “28th International Swim Meet- Alexandria”, held December 17-19, at the Poseidonion swimming pool in Thessaloniki.

Antonia Rakopoulou won 2 gold medals and achieved 3 new Pan-Hellenic records in the 400-800-1500m freestyle; Antonia has a total of 17 national records in 2021!!

Xanthi Mitsakou won 2 gold medals in the 200-400m freestyle, while Chryssa Mitsakou won the 2nd and the 3rd place!

Dimitris Tsaliagkos won the 3rd place in the 200m breaststroke, and Filippa Kolokotsa and Anastasia Peppe reached the finals in their events!
