Announcement concerning the operation of our athletic facilities (1/28/2022).

Dear members of the ACG Fitness program,

Dear members of the Deree Sports Academy,

Following the recent severe weather conditions that affected Attiki and the problems that emerged due to the heavy snowfall, our facilities are programmed to operate once again gradually when the College opens, on Monday, January 31st.

The staff of the American College of Greece has been working non-stop, since the first moment and has managed to repair a large part of the damages, so by Monday, the indoor athletic facilities of Deree and Pierce and the Fitness Center will be available for use.

Over the weekend, the work of clearing up of the Deree tennis courts will be continued while the surrounding area of the swimming pool has already been cleared up. Also, we are monitoring the temperature of the water, which is currently at 20.6 degrees Celsius, despite the fact that the heating is operating at maximum capacity. On Monday, provided that the water temperature reaches 25 degrees Celsius, the swimming pool will be open after 11:00 am. You will receive a notification by 10:00 am on Monday morning.

At this moment, difficulties are observed at the ACG soccer and track complex, which both remain covered by snow. Due to the fact that the artificial grass as well as the track have to be protected, we cannot interfere using machines. You will receive a notification on Monday regarding the use of these facilities.

Thank you for your understanding!

The athletic facilities will remain closed due to extreme weather conditions.
