The Deree Track and Field Academy participated with 9 athletes in the U18 National championship, held in Patra on July 1-2.

Our athletes Aria Sarigiannidi (100m hurdles), Apostolos Kontarinis (400m hurdles), Sotirios Stathakos (110m hurdles), achieved individual records, while Pavlopoulos P., Stathakos S., Kontarinis A., Georgantas F. (4x100m relay) and Aktypi K., Papaefthymiou X., Apostolou M., Mitropoulou E.(4x100m relay), successfully participated in their events.

In the long jump, Aria Sarigiannidi (5.13m) and Katerina Aktypi (4.96m), gave their best, but missed the final, while Panagiotis Pavlopoulos – after his absence due to injury – run the 100m in 12.28.

Filippos Georgantas won the gold medal in the 100m with 11.07 (personal best).

Evelyn Mitropoulou – after the two gold medals in the U16 National championship – won the bronze medal in the long jump with 5.76m (personal best) which is in the top-15 jumps in Europe.

After their impressive performances, Filippos and Evelyn were chosen to represent Greece in an international competition with the National team!
