Excellent performance of the DTFA in the Panhellenic U16 National Championship in Chalkida!

The Deree Track & Field Academy had their best performance ever in the U16 National Championship, held in Chalkida June 17-18.

Despite the adverse weather conditions that all athletes had to face, our team won three medals and achieved several individual records.

As a result, the Deree Track & Field Academy was ranked 11th out of 99 teams in girls’, and 18th out of 104 teams in boys’.

Following are the results of our athletes who made it to the finals:

Evelyn Mitropoulou

  • 1st place in 300m with 41.00s

This performance was the best at both groups of the National championship. Our athlete’s individual record (40.89) is the 13th best ever in girls U16.

  • 1st place in the long jump with 5.73m

Our athlete completed her second gold medal with the best result in her age group in the long jump in Greece for the season.

Apostolos Kontarinis

  • 2nd place in the 300m hurdles with 41.97s (personal best)

Our athlete came from behind (was in 4th place in the last 40m) and with an amazing finish won the silver medal.

Sotiris Stathakos

  • 5th place in the 100m hurdles with 15.40s
  • 6th place in the quadruple jump with 14.82m

Aria Sarigiannidis

  • 5th place in the quadruple jump with 13.37m

Katerina Fokas

  • 8th place in the 300m hurdles with 50.66s

Katerina Nikolopoulou

  • 11th place in the quadruple jump with 12.82m
