The huge turnout of young athletes and their families for the 2023 Deree College Athletic Club Pita Cutting Ceremony, made the January 28th event a big success.

The event was honored by the presence of President Horner and the Administration of The American College of Greece.

Athletes from all sports of the Deree Sports Academy – swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track & field – were rewarded for their accomplishments and participation during the previous year, and special tribute was given to multiple Gold Olympic medalist Pyrros Dimas for his tremendous contribution and dedication to Sports, who in turn made a short speech offering valuable advice to our young athletes.

Exclusive prizes were awarded to the lucky young athletes, winners of the raffle, who eagerly received their prizes! We would like to thank iStorm, sponsor of the main prize (one iPhone-14) for their continuous support!

The presence of the Deree Griffins mascot and the Deree Cheer team made the evening more enjoyable, provided everyone the opportunity to take pictures with them and our Guest of Honor Pyrros Dimas, and get better acquainted with all the members of the D.C.A.C. family.
