The Deree Track & Field Academy at the Balkan U18 Championship in Maribor, Slovenia!
For the first time, one female and one male athlete from the Deree Track & Field Academy will represent our club at the Balkan U18 Championship, which will take place on July 6, in Maribor, Slovenia.
Specifically, our athlete Evelin Mitropoulou will compete in the long jump, aiming to prepare for the European Championship in her category, which follows in mid-July.
Meanwhile, Filippos Georgantas will strive to secure a spot in the European U18 Championship with a good performance in his race. Notably, on Saturday, June 22, Filippos participated in the "Christos Voudouris 2024" games in Thiva, securing 2nd place with a time of 10.87 in the 100m. Apostolos Kontarinis also took part in the games, achieving a personal record of 55.82 in the 400m, while Aria Sarigiannidi recorded a performance of 5.19 in the long jump.
