National Winter Swim Championship Open 2022 - Very successful participation!

The Deree Swim Academy had an amazing performance at the " National Winter Swim Championship – Open 2022”, held on February 25-27 at the Athens Olympic Swimming Pool!

Our team won 11 medals in total (6 gold - 2 silver - 3 bronze), participated in 24 finals, and is one of the top swim teams in Greece in the Men’s and Women’s categories!

Specifically, our swimmers won:

Antonia Rakopoulou

• 1^st place in the 800m & 1500m women’s freestyle, and 3^rd place in the 400m women’s freestyle.

Xanthi Mitsakou

• 1^st place in the 200m & 400m men’s freestyle.

Dimitris Tsaliagos

• 2nd place in the 200m men’s breaststroke, and 3rd place in the 100m men’s breaststroke.

Anastasia Pepe

• 2^nd place in the 200m women’s backstroke.

Chryssa Mitsakou

• 3^rd place in the 200m women’s freestyle.

Our team also won the 1^st place in the 4x200 women’s freestyle with Xanthi Mitsakou, Zoe Mitsakou, Chryssa Mitsakou and Anastasia Boutou, and the 3^rd place in the 4x100 women’s freestyle with Xanthi Mitsakou, Zoe Mitsakou, Chryssa Mitsakou and Irida Kalampaliki.

Special mention should be also made to Antonia Rakopoulou, who broke the National record in 2 categories (Girls U15/16 and Girls U14) in the 1500m freestyle.
