Thodoris Mitsakos – Deree Tennis Academy athlete and Pierce student on an athletic scholarship – played two excellent tournaments in Cairo, Egypt, during the last two weeks.

Thodoris managed some significant wins in the very demanding “ITF Juniors U18 category 5” and “ITF Juniors U18 category 4” international tournaments, in which he prevailed against the number 190 and number 211 players in the world U18 ranking, and reached the quarterfinals at both tournaments!

He did excellent in the doubles also, where he reached the semifinal of the the first tournament.

It is worth noting that 17-year-old Thodoris has been crowned Panhellenic champion of his age group 5 times in the last 5 years!
