The Deree Basketball Academy (U14, U15, U16) took part in one of Greece’s largest youth basketball tournaments, held in Thessaloniki at the impressive Basketball Airdome, on January 3-5, in honor of Giorgos Valavanidis. The trip offered to players a 3-day experience, filled with games.

The U14 team showed consistent improvement despite initial losses, eventually clinching a win against A.G.E. Zakynthos (30-27). The U15 team performed strongly, winning several games and reaching the final, where they narrowly lost to AEK in a thrilling match. The U16 team faced tough opponents, including PAOK and Machites Pefkon, and fought valiantly throughout.

Beyond results, the tournament fostered teamwork, skill development, and camaraderie among the players, who also enjoyed exploring the vibrant city of Thessaloniki.
