Yiannis Sakkas, Pierce student on an athletic scholarship, won the 2nd place in singles at the U16 “Tennis Europe” International Tournament, held on October 3-8 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Yiannis won 4 matches until the final, and reached his second final in international tournaments within the last two months.
This resulted in climbing 150 spots in the international ranking of his age group, going from #340 to #190!
