The Deree Track & Field Academy participated in the National Championship U16 (Southern Division) on July 13-14, held in Chalkida, winning 1 silver medal and qualifying for finals with many personal records.
More specifically:
On Saturday, July 13, the participants were:
- Katerina Nikolopoulou – 2nd place in the tetrathlon with a significant personal record and club record of 14.41m.
- Olga Foundoulaki – 4th place in the 300m, tying her personal record of 42.78.
- Katerina Drakopoulou – 6th place in the 300m with 43.37.
- Katerina Foka – 6th place in the 300m hurdles with a personal record and club record of 47.82.
- Eleftheria Zolota, Eleni Tzamakou, Eleni Dragou, and Olga Foundoulaki (girls’ 4x80m relay team) – 9th place among 48 teams with a record for this particular composition of 41.85.
On Sunday, July 14, the participants were:
- Katerina Nikolopoulou – 7th place in the long jump final, achieving a significant personal record of 5.32m in the morning preliminaries.
- Marialena Kalampogia in the long jump, achieving a personal record of 5.00m in the preliminaries, which qualified her for the final where she ultimately placed 12th with 4.69m.
- Eleni Kouta – 11th place in the 600m, close to her personal record with a time of 1:46.52.
- Eva-Elena Zafeiriou – performance of 1:53.87 in the 600m.
- Eleftheria Zolota – performance of 11.55 in the 80m.
- Lena Dragiou – performance of 14.98 in the 80m hurdles.
With the end of the National Championship U16, the season for the Deree Track & Field Academy ended-up very successfully.
