The Deree Track & Field Academy won 2 medals and achieved many personal records at the 2^nd U14 Meeting, held on Sunday, May 7 at Athens College in Psychiko.

Our athletes competed in the long jump, high jump, and 60m hurdles, and won their medals with:

• Marialena Kalaboya, 4.60m – 2^nd place in the long jump
• Eleni Tzamakou, 10.23s – 3^rd place in the 60m hurdles.

The Deree Track & Field Academy had a very successful participation, with 4 medals and many personal records at the U18 meeting, held on Sunday, April 30 at Ag. Kosmas.
Our athletes gave their best and led our team in the 8th place – among 58 clubs – in the overall ranking.

• Evelyn Mitropoulou – 2nd place in the long jump with 5.47 (personal record, club record and limit for the U16 and U18 championship)
• Filippos Georgantas – 3rd place in the 110m hurdles with 16.03 (personal record, club record and limit for the U18 championship)
• Apostolos Kontarinis – 3rd place in the 400m hurdles with 63.92 (personal and club record)
• Myrsini Apostolou – 3rd place in the 400m hurdles with 72.77 (personal and club record)

Τhe Deree Track & Field Academy had a very successful participation, and the 10^th place among 53 clubs in the 11^th group of the U16 meeting held on Sunday, April 9 at Aghios Kosmas.

In the event, the DTFA participated with 18 athletes who won two gold medals, and won the following distinctions:

• Mitropoulou Evelyn – 1^st place in the 150m with 19.41 (qualified to the Panhellenic championship) and 4^th place in the long-jump with 5.07
• Kontarinis Apostolos – 1^st place in the 300m hurdles with 42.89 (qualified to the Panhellenic championship)
• Katerina Drakopoulou – 4^th place in 300m with 45.47 (qualified to the Panhellenic championship)
• Katerina Nikolopoulou – 4^th place in the quadruple jump with 12.76 (qualified to the Panhellenic championship)
• Olga Fountoulaki – 4^th place with 10.93.

Ten (10) Deree Track & Field athletes selected to participate in the “Training with the Best” program, organized by SEGAS at the Aghios Kosmas training center.

On Wednesday, April 5, the first six (6) of our selected athletes; Aimilios Skourtis, Philippos Georgantas, George and Panagiotis Pavlopoulos, Apostolos Kontarinis and Myrsini Apostolou attended the first training session, accompanied by our coach Mrs. Zoe Mavrofryda.

Οn Sunday April 2, the Deree Track and Field Academy hosted an U14 Triathlon event, at the premises of the American College of Greece, in Aghia Paraskevi.

Our athletes along with those of SA Athens College, ASE Doukas, AS Moraitis School, and AS Palaio Psychiko completed a very demanding triathlon event, which included 60m, long jump, and 800m.

The Deree Track & Field Academy won 2 medals; Marialena Kalabogia won the 2^nd place in the long jump, and Evelina Koletsou won the 3^rd place in 60m.

Competitions for the younger athletes (U10, U12) from all clubs also took place, including kids athletics, and 50m, long jump, and 600m events.

On Sunday April 2, the Deree Track and Field Academy will host the first U14 Triathlon competition of the year, at the premises of the American College of Greece, in Aghia Paraskevi.

Our athletes along with those of SA Athens College, ASE Doukas, AS Moraitis School, and AS Palaio Psychiko will compete in the 60 m, long jump, and 800 m. events.

Competitions for the youngers athletes of all clubs will also take place during the day.

Τhe Deree Track & Field Academy participated with 2 boys and 7 girls at the indoor Track and Field Meeting, held at the Peace and Friendship stadium on Saturday February 11.

Apostolos Kontarinis tied his personal record with 7.54 in the 60m and won the 2^nd place, while Evelyn Mitropoulou with 4.86 and Aristea Sarigiannidis with 4.79 meters, won the 2^nd and the 5^th place respectively in the long jump.

All our athletes achieved their personal best during the meeting.

The weekend January 21-22, the Deree Track & Field Academy participated in the 1^st U16/U18 Track & Field meeting in Agios Kosmas, and in the U12/U18 “Marathoneia 2023” in Schinias.

Filippos Georgantas with 7.20 in U18 60m, set a new club record; Dimitris Agalos in U14 1.000m and Filippos Agalos in U12 500m won the 8^th place, and Pierrakos Dionysis in U12 500m won the 5^th place.

Ioanna Tsoni, Pierce student on an athletic scholarship, won the bronze medal in the 100m hurdles (U18) with 14.96  in the International Running Meeting Greece-Cyprus, held in the premises of Aghios Kosmas on July 20-21.

Ioanna is the first Deree Track & Field Academy athlete who represented Greece in an international running event, and won a medal in her first appearance!

Great success for Deree Track & Field Academy by winning the 4th place in the Pan-Hellenic U16 Boys-Girls Championship/4th Group, held at EAK Agios Kosmas on the weekend of July 2-3!

In the games 56 clubs participated, and our team also won:

• the 1st place in 80m. U16 boys with Filippos Georgandas with 9.27,
• the 3rd place in the 4X80m. relay U16 boys with 37.92, with Giorgos Pavlopoulos, Apostolos Kontarinis, Panagiotis Pavlopoulos, Filippos Georgantas,
• the 3rd place in the 4X80m. relay U16 girls with 41.52, with Olga Foundoulaki, Aikaterini Aktypi, Eleni Stathopoulou, Evelyn Mitropoulou,
• the 3rd place in the girls’ U16 high jump with Eleni Stathopoulou with 1.50,
• the 3rd place in the U16 girls’ long jump with Evelyn Mitropoulou with 5.30.
