13 medals for the Deree Swim Academy in the “Spring Swim Cup of Pre-competitive Categories 10-11-12 years,” at the Athens Olympic Complex (OAKA)!

The Deree Swim Academy successfully participated with 24 athletes in the “Spring Swim Cup of Pre-competitive Categories 10-11-12 years,” held at the Athens Olympic Complex (OAKA) on March 9-10, winning a total of 13 medals.

1st place in Boys-Girls, Boys, Girls, 3 trophies and 36 medals for the DSWA in the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece”!

The Deree Swim Academy successfully participated with 43 athletes in the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece for Boys – Girls, Teens – Juniors”, held on February 16-18 at OAKA.

The Deree College Athletic Club won the championship in the Boys – Girls, Boys, Girls categories, 3 new trophies, and 36 medals in total!

Worth mentioning were the placings in the finals with 32 different athletes, the personal records, and the 1,225 points (993 Boys-Girls+232 Teenagers-Teens) that the DCAC collected in total.

2 trophies and 19 medals for the Deree Swim Academy at the “Winter Championship of Southern Greece Boys-Girls A’ & B'”!

The Deree Swim Academy participated with 30 athletes in its first target competition of the season, held at OAKA, February 9-11, and secured the first position in the Girls B’ category and in the overall standings of Boys-Girls A’ & B’, winning a total of 2 trophies and 19 medals (6 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze).

45 medals for the Deree Swim Academy at the Swim Event “Okeanos” at OAKA!

The Deree Swim Academy made a distinguished contribution to the Swim Event “Okeanos,” held at the Olympic Indoor Aquatic Center (OAKA) on January 12-14, and presented a contingent comprising 20 pre-competitive athletes and 65 competitive athletes.

Throughout the event, the athletes exhibited notable advancements in their individual performances, achieving numerous personal records and garnering commendable distinctions. Congratulations to the pre-competitive team, which secured 14 medals, and the competitive team, which achieved a noteworthy total of 31 medals!

The delegations were under the guidance of esteemed coaches, including Antoniou Antonis, Demetis Vasilis, Syrbopoulos Giannis, and Sofia Samartzi.

Sincere and profound congratulations are extended to all the participants for their outstanding accomplishments, reflecting the highest standards of sportsmanship and dedication.

National record, a gold medal, and distinctions for the Deree Swim Academy at Men’s – Women’s Winter Championship (Open) at OAKA!

The Deree Swim Academy participated with twenty-two athletes at the Men’s – Women’s Winter Championship (Open) at OAKA on Dec. 15-17.

We congratulate Marios Vlachakis on his national record, breaking his own at 200m. butterfly style, with an impressive 2:11:12, and Ioanna Pazaiti who won a gold medal at 200m. backstroke.

Even if our team was comprised of younger-age athletes, many achieved distinctions and qualifications in semi-finals or finals.

The Deree Swim Academy participated with 28 athletes in the 1st Winter Swimming Competition held at Athens Olympic Complex, held on December 9-10, achieving many individual records.

Panhellenic and individual records in the “7th PAO Trophy” for the Deree Swim Academy, which won 45 medals!

The Deree Swim Academy participated with 69 athletes in the “7th Trophy PAO” taking place in OAKA, on December 1-3, bringing impressive performances and many individual records.

Our athletes won 45 medals in total (twenty gold, twelve silver, and thirteen bronze) and the “Trophy PAO” in the U16 categories, achieving remarkable distinctions.

Our athlete, Marios Vlachakis achieved also three new national records, breaking his own national record, which stood from 2017, twice in the same day.

The delegation was chaperoned by coaches Antonis Antoniou, Vasilis Demetis and Giannis Syrmpopoulos.

The Deree Swim Academy broke 5 Panhellenic records at the “2nd 25m Pool Performance Swimming Competition” in Chalandri!

The Deree Swim Academy successfully participated with 71 athletes in the “2nd 25m Pool Performance Swimming Competition”, held on October 11-12, at the Municipal Swimming Pool of Chalandri.

Congratulations to our athletes for their performance and to the following athletes for breaking five Panhellenic records:

Welcome back George Vallas!

We are happy to welcome George Vallas back to the DCAC team!

George will assume the role of Manager – Swimming Programs Development, in our effort to have a top quality program in benefit of our athletes.

He will be working with us in parallel with his duties at the Greek Swimming Federation as Technical Advisor, has a vast experience in the sport, and during his first tenure with the DCAC and the Deree Swim Academy highly contributed in building a top notch program!

He holds a Bachelor in Sports Science and Physical Education with specialty in Swimming from the University of Athens, a Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics with specialty in Nutrition and Exercise from Harokopio University of Athens, and speaks English, and Greek.

George, welcome back home and good luck in your new duties!
